11) Romney’s constitutional advisor has called for the abolition of government-recognized marriage. Romney’s leading advisor on constitutional and legal issues, Doug Kmiec, has called for the abolition of government recognition of male-female marriage, a proposal that would open the floodgates to homosexual marriage. By doing so, the institution of marriage will become diluted and the foundational role it has played in America’s culture will evaporate. If Romney ever became president, Kmiec would likely serve in the White House advising Romney on such issues. Not surprisingly, after the 2008 GOP primary was over, Kmiec endorsed Obama for president.
